Background

This was a more straightforward project. Working with the owner of Next Stage Gallery they wanted to have a new logo and a new website layout that could be adjusted and also something more contemporary. The small team I worked with was split up to cover and complete this project. Another person and I worked on the website and, now, previous logo design.

The final product was using their pre-existing website host, square space, to create a better SEO and interaction with potential viewers

Who Is The App For?

Carpe Diem is for those wanting to get out of their comfort zone and enjoy new activities that suit them whether this is solo or in a group. Carpe Diem focuses on the person's situational, temporary or permanent locations to find activities. This gives everyone using the app an equal opportunity to seize their day.

Why?

Create a contemporary look for a gallery that supports local artists.

Process

We first created the log, going through multiple iterations and communicating with the client to make sure it had the right feel. This gallery works with a lot more contemporary artists. We needed to focus on that and have more local people and tourists be attracted to visit a smaller gallery. We then moved on to the website doing a quick wireframe test making sure that it flowed well. Then creating the High fidelity site that worked well with the client, but also the customers that are looking for the exhibitions.

Site Map

Even though the Website map was laid out from the previous brand, it helped to recreate one just to make sure nothing was missed.

Prototyping

To quickly understand the website, we created low fidelity prototypes to make sure that it was usable, and address anything missing from the website.

UI Kit

We didn't develop a UI kit for this project as it was just using buttons from Squarespace.
